Julie has always had a love for animals since she was a little girl and has rescued many injured ones. She has always had a family dog and various pets. At last being able to fulfil her dream of working with animals she gave up her job working with children and along with her husband purchased the kennels and moved along with their two children to Norfolk. Her goal is to provide a quality service based on her expectations of what she would wish for her pets. We will continue the high standards and look to develop and improve other areas. Julie is also undertaking a diploma in animal care and behaviour.
Darren has been in the IT/Printing industry for over 20 years. He has always had a passion for dogs & cats and has over the years owned a handful. Darren along with his wife Julie were devoted to their 2 Springer spaniels who they had from puppies. Sadly they both passed away within a couple of years of each other ageing from 13 to 15 years. Darren & Julie always wanted to do more and decided many years ago to rehome dogs so that their unfortunate start to life could be changed for the better. The rehoming of 2 dogs in recent years were taken on while Darren & his wife were still in there full time employment. Darren & Julie decided at the beginning of 2007 that their dream of running a kennels would be their next step. So giving up their present employment just made it easy to what they wanted to do with the rest of their lives. Here they could have the pleasure and satisfaction of running a well established boarding kennels and being around dogs & cats everyday and carrying on the hard work that had already been put in the over the last 10 years.
Michelle started working at the Dogotel in April 1999 as a work placement for her NVQ Level 2 in animal care. On completion she was given a fulltime job. In 2000 Michelle returned to Easton College one day a week for a city & Guilds grooming course. I left the Dogotel in 2003 after having a little girl & returned in January 2007.
Jane has been working at the Dogotel since January 2000. Each individual animal that comes into the kennels has it's own character, which over the years you get to know and look forward to seeing them again and again. I enjoy walking the dogs and playing ball with them. I attended Easton College in 2002 and qualified in NVQ dog grooming, which I enjoy doing too.
Nicola has worked at the Dogotel since January 2005. She has a NVQ Level 2 & 3 in animal care and dog grooming. Nicola enjoys interacting with all the different types of dogs and enjoys her time on the paddock playing with them. She also enjoys grooming. Nicola reckons that this is the best job in the world working with her 4 legged friends. All her colleagues share the same point of view.
Recently joining the Dogotel Sue brings her caring and good natured credentials, which she will be putting to good use with our four legged friends.
Roy - Maintenance
You may see Roy around the premises when you are collecting or dropping off your pet. He assists Darren the owner in the many tasks to keep the premises up to date and to make your pets stay here comfortable.
